It's amazing how a good team can make their opponent look horrible: I said this to my dad as Barcelona proceeded to control the first half in their game against Canyon FC. I did not know that Canyon was the #1 team in the league. . . We made them look second rate!

It seemed like the ball was in our offense for almost the whole first half. We had numerous shots on goal but none found their way in. With Eduardo R. controlling the midfield, Barcelona is a whole different team on offense – it was evident yesterday and today. And, when it came time for the defense to show their stuff, they came through with a swarm of florescent colors! Canyon did however pass the ball across the net to a wide open striker who easily put the ball into the back of the net.

To his disappointment, Connor was stuck back in the cage for the 2nd half which was a little less stellar than the 1st as Canyon wore down our midfield and defense; sneaking two past in short order. However, three quarters of the way through, Barcelona regrouped and Tristan was able to put one in the back of the net with a little help from Pedro. With Jose moved up the field, Barcelona rejuvenated their offense, but unfortunately ran out of time.
